I'm moving to Brazil for two years.  I'm leaving in June and will have a furnished apartment an hour away from Sao Paulo, does anyone have any advice as to what items I should bring with me that I amy need? Is a 200lb container enough?

Christine

Welcome on Expat-blog mwalasek! I have moved the thread on the Sao Paulo forum.  I hope another members will be able to help you.

Good luck

Each and every night we are happy we brought a matress and box springs from the US.  NOTHING here compares, at any price.  If you like to cook, bring your pots and pans and favorite appliances - again, nothing quite as nice here -- or it costs a fortune.  Something as simple as your everyday silverware in the States is 5 times the quality of local options.

Good luck!

Heeey!!!

I'm a Brazilian who lives in the USA. Hopefully, I will be able to help you! i don't know if you have been in Brazil before?! Our cultures are very similar! I'm sure you are gonna have a great time in Brazil as I have been having in the US.

I'm sure you are gonna find everything you need in Sao Paulo. Being in Sao Paulo is like being in NYC, many cultures in one place! Of course, it's gonna take some time untill you find the things you like!

Please, fell free to ask any questions! I'll glad to answer them!!! Good Luck!
