hey all,

I have just booked a ticket to Uruguay and im moving to live there in september. i have been offered some teaching work but id like to see what is available in my field... i have over 16 years hospitality experience. I have worked in hotels, bars, restaurants and nightclubs so am well able to adapt. I have been managing a high end restaurant and bar for the last few years. Can anyone here point me in the right direction for these kind of positions.

I hope you speak the type of Spanish spoken here. You will probably also need to have applied for residency and have a temporary cedula. I have heard it is possible to work under the table if you just plan to stay for a short time.
Wages are low, $5.00 per hour seems to be a common amount for many jobs.Many locals work very long hours including Saturdays to make ends meet. It is expensive to live here.
