Hey all, looking to settle in the phils, and invest a little in land or housing....I know about the 60-40% business, and I dont want a condo. Anyone have recommendations about good places to settle? Affordability, resale, cost of living, lifestyle, weather, etc etc.
What are peoples oponions of general all round good places to live? I want to live near a sizable town or small city, but not in the rat race, left that years ago lol.
Research from where I am, tells me Daveo area looks good. I've already bought a small block in Samal, just for a dabble, with no real plans for it.

Have you ever been to the Phils? If no, would not even consider buying/investing. Need to get here and see if you are really committed. And as a foreigner, you cant own land. Just read the many posts on this topic.
Bottom line is, if you have no experience in the Philippines, dont expect to come here and start a business or make any money.
