Hello,

At the moment I'm in Kenya and I would like to go to Uganda to work
there as a veterinary nurse.
I'm in contact with a vet who can offer me work as they don't have
veterinary nurses in Uganda.

I understand that I need a workpermit for this and I'm looking to get some more information.
I tried to contact the Belgium embassy in Uganda, but they couldn't help me.
I also tried to contact the Ugandan Immigration, already a few times, but without any succes...

I'm hoping anyone here can give me some more info.

I'm looking to work in Uganda for 3-6 months, the vet told me that
there was a workpermit available for short term?
Is this true?

Do you have any idea about the cost and the time I have to wait before it will be ready?
And will I qualify for class F workpermit as a veterinary nurse?

Hoping you can help me.

Eef

Hallo Eef

Yes it is true, you must have proper documentation to allow you to work in Uganda. I am a lawyer and regularly process work permits and other permits for foreigners. Please do contact me on lbe@infocom.co.ug if you need more information

Its possible but am of the view that you first come to Uganda, sign a contract and then start working on the permit.
