Hi All,

I am from India and got an offer from a German IT company under blue card category.I will be shifting to Germany with my wife and small kid and my parents will visit as well.I have got a net salary of 2500 Euro/pm (Take home)in Frankfurt.I need the following information

i.Is the salary sufficient for us (including furnished accommodation, utility bills, fooding etc)to survive there comfortably?

ii.Cost break up (including furnished accommodation, utility bills, fooding etc)

iii. What are the chances of blue card holder getting sacked by their employers?

iv.If I am dissatisfied with my current employer what are the chances of getting another job there?

v.When my wife will be shifting to Germany she will be 7 months pregnant. Will she face any visa related problems?
Can she gave birth there then?
What are the facilities of medical insurance in such cases?

vi.My wife,a bachelor degree (3 yr) holder having a PGD (Post graduate Diploma,1 yr)in Banking and having an experience of 4+ yrs. What are her prospect/chances of getting a job there?

Thanks in advance...

Waiting for your reply..

Rent for a 3-room unfurnished flat is around €600-800/month, plus €150-200/month for heating and utilities. Furnished places are rare and cost much more, so consider bringing or buying you own furniture! Depending on your lifestyle, you'll need €400-600/month per person for food and living expenses - items like home trips or special food (Indian isn't cheap or easy to find!!) not included.

This depends on your background, education, work experience, job skills and German language skills.

Medical care is good and all costs of maternity and child birth are covered by the compulsory health insurance.

This depends on her background, education, work experience, job skills and German language skills. It is common for new mothers to take a three year maternity break, as child care is not readily available or affordable at such young age.
