Today its the last Jumuah in the month of shabbaan...the next Jumuah will be on the holy month of Ramadhan. May Allah Rabbi'I izzat keep yours to see more in good health, wealth and many more life can offer.

Have any non-Muslims tried fasting?
Give it a try for a day; you'll get an idea what it's like to be poor to the point you can't afford food.
Anyone fancy trying it?

Primadonna

I'll did it and it was not for a whole day but the whole month.

But what I can't stand it is that the people (over)eat themselves so they gain weight instead of loose weight.
And all the food that they throwing away... what a waste.

But for the all muslims where ever they are: Ramadan Karim

yeah jumping sheep you are right, that was one of the fasting reasons along with self-adapting, leaving evil work and preform worship.
but as Primadonna mentioned lots of people misunderstand meaning of that by wasting the food at the end of the day...

Ramadan Karim to you Primadonna & to Mas Fred too if he is going to fast this year   :)

3 years ago my daughter gave the whole month of Ramadan ,she said it was the best thing she ever did ,however she says she should have taken it slowly and extend the time by 1 hour a day but she didn't. at least she knows what it feels like to want ..

This year I will try !

Are you kidding?  Lots of Christian groups fast.  Jesus, Paul and Barnabas all fasted famously.  Many fast at some point during Lent.  There are entire Jewish holidays with fasting.  There's no way you haven't heard of Yom Kippur.  Hindus fast like there's no tomorrow.  Gandhi wasn't thin just because of all those hunger strikes.  I don't know about Buddhists.  It doesn't seem like Chinese people fast for more than an hour or two.

Fasting period, is a time to keep away from all sinful things, and be closed to Almighty Allah, He shall forgive you all your sins and bless the work of your hand. Ramadan Karim

I would love to meet muslim brothers in mexico.
