Does anyone have any experience in shipping a car or container to Tanzania? I am looking at different options at the moment and have a few questions for anyone with some experience:
- For shipping a car is it better to use a container or a roll on/roll off service?
- What shipping agents and clearing companies can you reccommend?
- Which port is best to ship to - Tanga, Dar or Mombasa? (I am based in Arusha)
- Do you have any indication of what costs, taxes etc I would have to pay to import a car into Tanzania? I can't find any concrete information on this, only rumours. I know it depends on the type of car. It will be a 4x4 less than 10 years old. What other fees might I face once the car reaches tanzania?
