Hi,

Only just found this site; long time since we last visited Malta so will obviously have changed a lot.  We're wondering about moving there in the next few years - no rush - but wanting to organise a trip in Sept/Oct/Nov to get the feel of the place.

Friends have suggested we book a hotel in St. Julians but (long shot I know) am wondering if it might be possible to do a private rental for a month or two?

Any/all pointers very much appreciated and if anyone knows of a 'long' short term rental opportunity, we'd be really grateful to be pointed in the right direction.

We're a retired couple, safe pair of hands, no pets, non-smokers but we do like good food/wine so anywhere within reach of a decent hostelry would be welcome.

Noooo ideas if I've posted this in the right place but, as am new, hopefully I'll be forgiven! :)

There are many that would rent out for that period.
Try here for example: http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk/malta-gozo.htm
Good luck.

Are you in Malta yet? We are thinking of moving very soon too.

Its best to get here stay in a hotel for say a week or two explore the areas and decide where would best serve your requirements - these are very personal - then look at properties - and only take them once you are 100% satisfied but never take the first one you see there is always something better and cheaper if thats important..... be very wary of the smiley smiley landlord oK
