Hi everyone!!

Can I get some tips for how you get your thobes white!!

I have an excellent front loading washing machine.

Not sure whether its the detergent I'm using. But those brown sweat stains don't seem to come out of the collar and sleeve ends!

I don't like to take them to the launderettes because even they dont get those brown sweat stains out.

Any help and advice welcome!

Thank you

Bleaches and special liquid detergents for thobes and abayas.

Like to leave them soaked in bleach beforehand for some time?

And as for liquid detergents - any recommendations?

Thanks

Bleach can actually make sweat stains more visible.  (By the way, the culprit is not the sweat---it's the antiperspirant and amount used.)

There are specific products that target pit stains, but I doubt you'd find them in any Saudi supermarket.  Try some of the tips from this Internet site and others:  http://www.wikihow.com/Remove-Yellow-Armpit-Stains

Thing is they don't use any antiperspirant.
Except the roll on..

Hey, look what I just stumbled upon in my readings:

I give it to laundry service. It costs only SR.5 per thobe and they know how to make it sparkly and shiny and stiff.

HRGuru, they don't get rid of the brown sweat stains on collars, sleeves and underarms.

So laundry service is a no.  Thanks though.

Try Al Jabr and be specific and I am sure they would, I have never faced any issues with thobes. Other apparels were a different matter though.
