Hi,
We would like to move to Dubai, and my husband would like to set up his own business there, what kind of permit do we need and what documents to support it? we hold a British passport.

You have to go to the Economic Department (they have offices at several locations), who will provide you with all information. Inside a Free Zone you can have your own company and employees of your choice; outside it you will need a local sponsor. Certain Bank Deposit Amount will be needed to be declared as 'Capital'.
