Quick question 
My partner will need to travel from Malta to the UK with our son and therefore, she will need a doc signed by me to authorize her to travel with the boy. Do you guys know where can I get this doc from?

I think that a letter signed by you and authorising your wife to travel with your son is sufficient, or at least it use to be.
Perhaps with a copy of your ID on the back and signed over?

Will have to double check that. We have always traveled together so never needed that kind of doc but I reckon she will need it, coz otherwise, she may not be able to take off without it.
