cheers,
Shane
Hi my friend,
You can get driving licence in Myanmar quickly and easily, Just pay the money. Maybe it will take 3-5 days (unofficial) but it is real one. I advise you to hire a driver first, and take him wherever you go, get it trained from him about traffic and rules. There is 2 things keep in your mind if you drive in myanmar reather you are on right ways.
1) don't hit any car or (people)
2) to not get hit to your car even with bicycle (side-car).
you won't have any problem with the traffic police, as long as you don't make any accident.
one important rule, if you hit you are wrong, even you are on right way.
Enjoy driving in Yangon.
Hi Ko,
Do you know any agents who can help me get license ? how much would it cost ?
regards,
Shane
I am not Sure about agent, But you can ask around where you are working.
Maybe you might have some burmese friend or coworker. If they don't know, i can give the point to start, ask to Taxi driver or Bus Driver.
Most of the Bus driver can do that.
There was some training center for car driving, they know the procedure.
Regarding Cost,
for burmese (unofficial) real license, cost around 40$.
just give the photo, you will get driving license in 3 days. no document required.
For Foreigner, will be more. between 40$-200$.
Make sure you pay the money to trusted person.
its depend on you, how you want to do? official or ????
If you want to do official, just walk straight to the Traffic police main office and ask.
They will ask many document and many record even your great great grand father name. its long procedure.
So,
I hope you got the points.
It's a SIN to be a foreigner here ...
Hi my friend,
There was many people who can speak Hinde, ududu, mostly in downtown area and you can find the comunity to join. Check in Shwe Bon Tha street, 30th street and Bo Aung Kyaw street. But, I warn you, some are from broker business, becareful.
I don't really Understand what you mean about SIN.
You are not the only indian in Myanmar (yangon).
I Just want to help you, because I am the only one Burmese in this country (kazakhstan) and I felt the same way you do. Maybe somethings are costly to you there because you don't know the cheaper places yet.
How long you been there? and where you staying at?
If you want to know some more about Yangon, don't hesitate to ask me. I am willing to help you.
This is our life, get use to it.
@Ko Min God bless you for your help, Ko.
