What is the best solution for an Australian to access funds while living in Vietnam?
Should we open a bank account and transfer funds or is there an Australian bank account that will accommodate this need without the high bank charges?

You can use visa debit or ATM, in Vietnam we have branch of HSBC..i think this bank quite famous so you can use this service.
