As Aurélie said, would make it easier to answer to your question, if you had an idea on which area you'd like to rent.
Have a look at the websites below from some of the real estate agencies here in Malta, and it might give you a ruffly idea of the the renting price:

well its depend were in malta end most important when you came hiere to rented
for exemple:
Bugibba is cheap,Meliha, NAXAR FROM 250-400 ER/Mnt but have to be long term 6-12 mnt!!end have to be hier 4 rented at liest in 1 may!!to find samthing nise end cheap
ST.JULIEN END SLIEMA,VERRRYYY EXPENSIVE EVEN IN APRIL,MAY (600-1500-2000/LUXUS PENTHAUSE)
SWIQIE IS CLOUSE TO ST.JULIEN WHER ALL THE SCHOOL END BARS AR IN PACEVILLE END NAW AT THIS TIME WITH LOOCK YOU WILL FIND FOR 450-600ER)ALSO LONG TERM 6-12 Mnt!!
have to know that most of apartments ar not includet gas/watter end electrisity
THIS PREISES AR +/- FOR 1-2 ROOM APARTMENT!!
