I arrive soon in Riyadh and am also planning to spend my weekends diving. When looking at the map I guess that the red sea is a bit far for just the weekend so the gulf should be better. Having said this I am also very interested to know the answers about the diving spots. Good evening.

Late reply for this post... Just red it while passing by and surfing... Anyway, I recommend the Abu Ali Island here in Jubail... You may search and check some photos at the web...
