Google Maps

I've been quite amazed at the excitement this seems to have generated in the papers. I guess it's some kind of recognition that they are an important country because they are on google street view. Even the bustling metropolis of Haugesund is on it. The local newspaper wants people to get in touch if they've managed to find themselves. I'm sure why or what they'll do when such a person does get in touch. I'll keep you posted (as a complete aside, after learning the difference between du and dere, does anyone else wish we had a proper plural for 'you' in English?).

I saw that picture from Bergen. All I can say is that I could have guessed that was Bergen before reading it was. Very strange people! But we like them anyway.

Someone had now got in touch with Haugesunds Avis to say that they spotted themselves on Street-View.

I like that. I would never have imagined that taking some photos of the streets would result in such amusement for the whole nation. We should have done it years ago!
