Cabarete - apartment & internet

Hi All,

I was hoping to get an idea of what I should expect to pay to rent an apartment in Cabarete for 3-4 months May-July/August.

Internet and A/C are musts - when we're not kitesurfing, we'll be working (we both work remotely).

I'd like a nice apartment, 1 or 2 bedroom, does not need to be on the beach, but should be nice, clean, secure. Not trying to go bargain basement, but also not rich & famous.

I've been checking out sites online (remax, a bunch of local sites), and there seems to be a HUGE range - from $400/month to $2000 (and up).  Seems like most that fit our criteria are $800-$2000.

Are we best trying to book something from here, or just book a hotel for a few days and then hunt around when we're there.

I have mediocre spanish, but can get by.

Any pointers appreciated.

There is lots available in Cabarete. You might look at Ocean Dream, Ocean one, Kite beach and others all will be in the $1200-2000 range or should be.  A site you might want to look at is Trip Advisor for lots of listings by owners. Here is the link

You might also check out www.flipkey.com under Cabarete.
PM me if you need more information

There is a nice 1 bedroom  here secure new condition . 350 monthly plus cable and you would have to arrange internet .However because it is located above a store on the main street of cabarete street traffic is the only downfall !Most apts 450 and above for Not Grungy !
