I have been to several places namely Bastille, St Michel, Grand Boulevards, Chatellet and there some nice joints to hang out.

A total blow generally in most clubs in Paris is that you will need to be a couple, a guy accompanied by a girl to gain entrance and to me this is ridiculous!

Go to pubs instead. The Moose by Odeon, The Highlander, Cafe Latin in St Michel, get drunk enought and all of paris is a nightclub..
