Hello Hi all.

Welcome to Expat.com! :)

A new thread has been created from your message on the Singapore forum.

A longer introduction could help us give you better guidance.

Thank you,
Aurélie

Yes you can. I think you can. Chechen with the Singapore immigration - can email. They are quite efficient . Especially now when the authorities keep amending rules(if you watch local news)
Good luck

With a DP, you can get a LOC to work.
It is easier to get (less often rejected) than an EP on your own merits, but you have to keep in mind that
- DP is given by ICA, LOC (and EP) by MoM - these are different!
- LOC is tied to your spouse's EP, so if be loses his job (or becomes PR) you cannot continue to work either.
- Many (if not most) wmployers don't know LOC or are hesitant to use it, so it's up to you to convince them.
I cannot comment on your chances of finding a job, as I don't know your industry, but I heard IT is difficult now.
