We are considering moving to the Silver Coast of Portugal from Florida. We are retired and want to know about health care, health insurance, renting vice ownership, and any other information we should consider.
What steps do we need to do prior to moving to establish residency. We are planning a two week trip in April or May to start looking at sites.

I would love to know the same kind of information. I am planning my own retirement...in Novemeber of this year and plan on being in Spain...doing the Camino Santiago for five weeks and then down to Lisbon and Evora....www.internationalliving.com did a wonderful piece on Evora which has me interested. If you have managed to glean any info from other expats I'd love to hear from you.
