Leather/Shoe Repair

This is a dying industry in the U.S., thanks to Made in China's disposable footwear.

That said, and although it's a longshot, I'm looking for a shoe repair shop in Riyadh.

I have a nice Tommy Bahama belt and some perfectly broken-in pairs of Ecco and Clark shoes that have some stitching issues.  I do not want to abandon them just yet.

Any leads or addresses will be welcomed and appreciated.

There's a shoe repair guy in Euromarche, but he does pretty basic stuff (restitching is probably something he could do).

Yep, that's it.  Not in the food store, of course, but in one of the small shops inside the bldg.

For expat posterity, and future denizens of this website who will use its search function, there is a small leather repair shop in front of Al Jazeera grocery store:  http://goo.gl/maps/oPp2j

It's a small shop along the storefront façade, near the west entrance on the north sided of the building.  Ground-level parking is usually full, but underground parking is always available--and free.

The proprietor is a young, ebullient, and helpful Filipino man.  He speaks English too.

I'm unsure whether he could tackle delicate and complex repairs, but for simple stuff he's great.  Cheap too.  He charged me SAR 8 for a stitching and elastic repair.  He also offered to finish it today since I'm traveling to Bahrain tomorrow.

A good experience.  If they had Yelp* over here, I'd give him Four Stars.

go to batha . and on the main road you will found a pathan siting on ground for repairing of shows he will hardly take 5 SR.
