Qualified Teacher seeking advice on job prospects in Japan

Hello Japan expats,

I'm looking to move to your great country in the coming month or 2 and am seeking teaching work.

I am qualified Primary School Teacher (Bachelor Education) and also have my TESOL certificate and 2 years casual teaching experience both at home in Australia, and also in Napal and Vietnam.

I think I am quite employable and certainly capable but I realise it's quite late in the year to apply for the March term commencement.

Can anyone advise me of my options?  Is it possible to get in to reputable language schools or International Schools this late?  If so, where is the best place to find such jobs advertised?  Or am I wasting my time trying to do it with short notice?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
Bill Wheatley

Hi Bill,

This thread is a little old, and your question is kind of involved, so post a reply to this topic if you still want to discuss teaching in Japan, especially at international schools.

FYI, I live in Tokyo and have taught here at international schools for over ten years.
