Iraq is a beautiful country but security situation is still difficult in most parts! Kurdistan-Iraq (Erbil, Sulamainiya and Dahuk) is a very safe area tho.

I do not advise that you take the job for 1500USD!!! it's tooo low and life in Iraq is a bit expensive!
