Hi, I just signed up on this so I'm not entirely sure where my post is about to go, but we'll see. Anyway, me and a couple of friends of mine are really interested in moving to Edinburgh sometime next year or early 2014 depending on a few things. We've all been googling different things, but does anyone have any idea about where to start with all of this? Are there any websites that give good instructions about work visas and information like that? Any things that we absolutely must know if we're going to do this? Absolutely anything that anyone could tell me about it would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Allison,
Take a look at the UK occupation shortage list on the page below (under 'related documents'). Work visas are issued on the basis of supply and demand - if you have a trade or profession that the UK is short of then you may be able to find a company to sponsor you for a visa.
