To say hi

Hi everyone,

I am a newcomer in this forum living and working in Germany.

I would like to get married to my Ethion fiancè any time. With this reason in mind I am since a long time busy to find out more about Ethios culture and religions.

Up to now I don't have any religion. Because I grew up in the Eastern part of Germany was it very common not to be religiously at all. Now I were busy a lot to find out more abut the Ethio-Orthodox faith and I think I can identify with it. I also have contacts to the church but what I could not find out up to now:

Does anyone here knows how much time does it has to take to overtake this religion in a baptism ceremony? What are the conditions or better in what duration of time can you become an Ethio-Orthodox? How long can it take? Does anyone here can support me with experiences?

Thank all of you in advance.

Hello, I'm an Ethiopian living and working in USA. I'm very familiar of Ethiopian Orthodox religion because of my family background. If you are willing to convert to orthodox religion, the process should be very easy. It should not take you too long to get baptized. I suggest that you speak with Ethiopian-Orthodox church priest so he will advise and guide you. Good luck:-)

Thank you a lot. I am having contact already to the Ethio-Orthodox community in my town. But I did not talk about this topic to the priest yet. At 1st I wanted to know from some people the have udnergone this procedure already how does it k or at lest to get some advices.
Thankx.

There is 1 question I still have:

Does anyone knows what means blessing? What is the problem if you are not "blessed" at your wedding because you don't have any religion? What is wrong with that? I am trying to understand because everything is so new for me.
