Brit moving to Sri Lanka for work - any advice for a good social life?

Hi all,

I am an old duffer moving to Welisara in January 2013 for 6 months for work.  I am looking for advice on developing a social life - what sports clubs - golf and cricket, are there availible and any advice on meeting friends would be great.

Hi Bobby,

Most of the social life exists in Colombo, Galle and Kandy. Not so sure what you can have in Welisara. You can find a lot of clubs, sports clubs, pubs, etc in and around the above mentioned cities.

If you like traveling then you will have a lot of places to enjoy  close to Welisara.
