Price of the room to rent

Dear all,
   My name is Paul Faloni From Nigeria,but am i will like to meet and have fun in Sri-lanka,i will like to meet people who are friendly coz i want to relocated to Sri-lanka by the end on Nov. 2012,so i will like to meet people living in Sri-lanka.
Can any body help me with the price of the room to rent and how fast can someone settle down in Sri-lanka.
