My friend the professional shopper says there is certified Halal meat being imported from New Zealand and Australia. I would trust the true compliance of this more than what passes as vegetarian here.

You can find halal sheep (both frozen and chilled) at Foodscom.

Visit the store first and specifically ask for the halal meat (Bring a Vietnamese interpreter).  The halal meat here will be quite expensive ranging from 365,000 VND ($18.25 US) – 825,000 VND ($41.50 US) per kilo since it is imported.
