How does a USA-trained M.D. get a full, unrestricted medical license in Singapore? Does the physician need to be residency trained in the USA first or does he need to move to Singapore and complete post-graduate training? I am an M.D. student in the USA and looking at options outside the USA post-graduation.
I also understand the Singapore Medical Council will only register US-trained physicians from certain medical schools? Why is this? The quality of US M.D. schools is pretty standardized, and the list they have on their website seems kind of random.
