Hi everyone,

I'm engineer with 4 y experience, considering to move to Dusseldorf. Would anybody here be willing to help me the info below.

- A very rough estimation of what the living expenses may be on average. I'm not sure what kind of salary should I aim at.
I am single, would need a 2 rooms apt, and I've a pretty normal life style / no crazy requests.
- Is German striclty required for day-by-day life? (it wouldn't for my job)

Universities' foreign students advisories give the requires minimum monthly expenses at EUR600-800 (depending on city) for a very basic lifestyle in a sublet room. Above that, the sky's the limit and you decide where you end up.
