Hello guys!
I'm Italian and I'm planning to move to NY in January. I'd like to find a job there and stay more than 3 months. Do you know what kind of Visa I need? I'm looking for one that permits me to work there as soon as I get there. Unfortunately I still don't know which kind of job I'll get.
Do you know how these things work?

Hi Micole,
Unfortunately you have to find a job before you get to the States. You cannot transform your tourist visa into a working visa. And you are not allowed to work under a tourist visa nor or you allowed to look for a job under it.
So you should look for a job before moving there.

thanks so much for the information.
Do you know any au pair organization that work with girls older than 30' I'm 31. The au pair program seems to be the easiest way to find a job there in a short time.

I found out I'm too old to be an au pair in USA (I'm 31).
I'll keep applying to jobs.
