Hi, all,

I was here last year, but I got my haircut at the local Indian barber.  I'd like to go to a nicer, more professional salon.  Does anyone know of good ones in the city?

I would be willing to pay 10-15...20 KD for a great haircut, instead of the usual 1.5 at the Indian place.  I'm not sure where to go!

Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Brad

10, 15, 20KD?? hey big spender, tone it down a notch or two (or three or four), you do get what you pay for, and hence a 1.5KD cut will usually spell disaster.

what u want to do is find a place that does not look like it was built with a budget of 500KD. it would seem pointless to ask u to drive or take a taxi all the way to lets say, jabriya to get a haircut, which is where i go, right opposite McDonalds on the main road is an amazing place, ask for Ali, he is turkish.

a great haircut for a guy will run u 5KD, tops! anything more, and that is an extra extravagance you can usually do without. a good haircut is about 3.5KD, which is what u'd pay at the salon i described above.

I know I am a little late on this one, this afternoon I went to "Face for Man" in Salmiya, Annan Street and have had the best haircut I have ever had and a fantastic shave for 7KD, would highly recommend and will be returning for a weekly shave!
