Hi
I'm a Portuguese lawyer looking for a position within the legal sector in Brazil. Is any of you aware of any companies and/or law firms interested in recruiting Portuguese lawyers?
Thank you
Luis
P.S.- Portuguese lawyers are able to apply to the Brazilian law society and practice in Brazil due to the agreement set out by both countries law societies.

Hi Luis,

Welcome to the Brazil Forum, thanks for the tidbit of information about the reciprocal agreement between the OAB and the Portuguese Law Society, it will come in handy the next time someone is seeking my advice.

Have you entered into contact with the Ordem de Advogados do Brasil and asked them if they can provide you with any information? Also you can access through their website (at least in São Paulo OAB/SP) a comprehensive list of lawyers and law firms in case you want to start sending out your CV.

Oh and one more thing, since there are so many large multi-national companies here in Brazil (especially in the states São Paulo and Rio) you may want to think about sending your CV to some of them, perhaps they will have openings in their Legal Department.
