By the way, it's called New iPad, not iPad3. Apple wanted to sell iPad2 and new iPad in parallel which was hard to do if iPad3 (name) existed.

iPad3 announcement is expected soon.

I don't think they are launching another iPad soon, considering the last one came out just a few months back.

That's why I said soon (in-stead of next month etc) which may mean anything.

And soon means after seeing the response of Microsoft "Surface", apple will keep its gadget ready to screw 'em up !!

Usually it's the other way round

Apple has been the trend-setter man. About Surface, I first heard about it in 2007; where is it; not out yet? C'mon, even Sony released their tablets long time back.

Apple has a very typical production pattern like:

- They announce products twice a year in specific months in specific weeks.
- They never leak any info. Rumors keep on moving about design, features etc but you actually get to know when they hold the announcement ceremony.
- They seldom announce successor products in successive years. IPhone4 was relesed in 2010. I wondered on people who were expecting iPhone5 in 2011.
