Expats go to various places depending on their nationality or social Persuasion.
You can try: Mikey's Bar - Sivatha Boulevard, Aqua bar and swimming pool - 7 Makara Street, The Warehouse Bar - opposite Phsar Chas (Old Market) and Green Star - Wat Bo Road (Southern end) to name a few.
