Bit late in the day this and after the event....but I use the HDi player from a company called FilmOn. With that you can watch live British TV (BBC1, BBC2, ITV1, C4, Channel 5 and a load of others for FREE). It's a bit wobbly sometimes and drops out (just swap between the low speed and high speed versions of the channels) but it's pretty reliable and as it's free and there's no registration required (press skip) you cannot go far wrong. You need a broadband connection.

I'd be interested to hear how people get on with it. Others in far flung places tell me it doesn't work too well but it works great for me here in HU.

Incidentally, I'm just using it, I'm not connected with the company that produces it :-)
