Nice to meet you - my name is Monique for L.A. (been in france for 10 years though)

You should go to the English In Toulouse website and sign up (for free). They have several happenings every week to meet fellow anglophones (and frenchies too).  I go to the Tea Tuesdays (Tuesday afternoons) sometimes and you'll meet a handful if not more, people there (it tends to me mostly woman).  They have a Friday night gathering too but I've never been to it as I have a little girl 2 1/2. It's a more mixed crowd.
Not sure what you are doing for work but if you have any experience taking care of children, I'm always on the lookout for a trustworthy babysitter

Yes, I heard about English in Toulouse recently and have been to one of their Friday sessions, which was good fun.  I will go to the Tuesday one too, but have been in the UK for the last two weeks and going to Greece on Saturday for 5 days, so haven't been around to go to any sessions, once I return I will definately come to the Tuesday session too, as I don't work at the moment.

As for baby sitting, I have looked after (and still do occassionally) my boyfriends colleague's little boy who is nearly two years old, and would be happy to do the same for you if you would like. I hope to meet you at the Tea on Tuesdays in the next couple of weeks.
