No man's land: Women-only city planned for Saudi Arabia to allow more and more females to pursue a career.

Saudi Arabia is planning to build a new city exclusively for women as it bids to combine strict Sharia law and career minded females, pursuing work.
It is thought the Saudi Industrial Property Authority (Modon) has been asked to bring the country up to date with the rest of the modern world with the controversial city, which is now being designed with construction to begin next year.
It is hoped it will allow women’s desire to work without defying the country’s Islamic laws.

Wow...typically, a man with too much money on his hand will just buy and spend it on the most crazy or unnecessary ways...

...the same way, Saudi Arabia has way too much money on its hand... :sick

Hitch

(if women-only law firms, accounting firms, colleges, architecture firms, hospitals, etc. )

I believe in math – religion – history when did that ever happen ? please be reasonable .

(were planned for this city, i wouldn't be so cynical. in fact, i would be likely to patronize the businesses there, should the need arise. )
Can really be that bulid for that only reason !! I believe you are smarter than this !! . it’s never about that , we have in jiddah many malls for only woman to respect their privacy . what more !!? there are different between needs and wants I believe …

*but the fact that they're basically building factories for women to work in is what makes me feel that this project is a step toward the bad parts of the west--not women getting out of the house and pursuing careers, but setting an economy that requires both spouses to be out of the house working in order to make ends meet, thus taking choices away from families, while holding women down by almost totally shutting them out of management and leadership positions.*

Its like a person from outside your home !! and instructing you how to manage your house !! that’s why I don’t like it and I feel its very offensive to me and to my country .

It's not entirely true. It's for men and women. Source
