How does it feel?Is it a friendly place? is it easy to find accomodation? How far is the university of Hawai'i Manoa from the center of Honolulu? What about the climate? is it always hot all year round?

Thank you for answerign these questions for me.

I can't help you as far as the University is concerned, but I've been to Hawaii twice. My in-laws are from there.
Friendly yes, you get closer to the locals if you live there or have family there.
If you more there you want to get your Kama'aina card, to prove that you local and get the local discount.
Warm yes, we went in December, which my in-laws consider winter and not worth going in the water. It was warm for us. Tank tops and all. However the volcanoes are higher up and there can be snow there. So in the higher elevation it will be colder appropriately.
Life is expensive since pretty much everything has to be shipped.
