Hello everybody!
Would be very interesting to know what the current cost of living in Salinas (or any other relatively large coastal city for that matter) is.
Accommodation prices:
Rent - per month for a newer 1 bedroom furnished apartment or condo in a good location (going to rent for about 6 months before buying).
Purchase - for a newer 1 bedroom furnished condo in a good location.
Public transportation fares (taxi, bus)
Groceries (per month, how much does it cost for a single person, nothing extravagant, including meats, vegetables, fruits)
Health prices (medical insurance, GP visits, lab services)
Energy prices (electricity, natural gas)
Common bills (High-speed Internet, cable/sat TV, telephone, tap water, garbage removal)
Prices of a day-to-day menu in a traditional restaurant
Miscellaneous
How would you estimate the current rate of inflation in Ecuador?
Please do not hesitate to add items to this list!
Thanks in advance for your participation!!

P.S. Do I understand correctly one should not drink tap water in Salinas?
