Hello all!

I'm a 22 year old male from Newcastle in the North East of England. I am currently saving up money to pay for a TEFL course and I have decided I would love to do it in the Czech Republic, I just do not know much about the cities that are on offer. I visited the country last summer and stayed in Lipno nad Vltavou and visited places like Ceske Budejovice, Cesky Krumlov and Brno for the Moto GP (but didn't get to see the city centre unfortunately). Anyway, I really fell in love with the country.

I have pretty typical interests... football, music and socialising/drinking so I guess Prague would be the obvious choice. But I am always very interested in learning a countries history and experiencing the culture properly, so possibly Prague is too touristy for the 'real' Czech experience? I was just wondering if anyone who has maybe experienced these cities could offer any advice?

edit - to clarify what I mean by the 'real' Czech experience - I know that there are a lot of super cheap flights to Prague from UK and it is apparently quite a popular place for British binge drinkers... which isn't one of the qualities of British culture I'd like to follow me really!

Thanks
Ryan!

Hi Ryan,

Did you eventually find a TEFL course to do in any of the cities you mentioned? I am also from the UK and looking for a one but I want to carry it out in Prague...It's just knowing which schools/companies are best :/ is where I'm stuck.

Thanks,

Kerri
