Hi all,

Can a foreigner take the driving test in the Netherlands?

What are the formalities to get a driver’s licence in the Netherlands?

Do you need special or extra documents being an expatriate?

How much does it cost?

Thank you for participating ;).

Yes, foreigners can take the driving test in the Netherlands.
If you want to get a Dutch driving license, you will first have to do the theory exams and then the driving test itself.
In order to do the driving test, you will have to enroll in a driving school and take driving lessons. The driving school will then help you to apply to sit for the driving test.
Another option is maybe to get an International driving license if you don't want to get a Dutch driving license. For this I have no information. You can always go to CBR (www.cbr.nl) or ask ANWB.
CBR website will also give you the latest information about the cost of the exams.
