My wife and I (currently in US) will be moving to Luxembourg in early 2013 but are not sure how the healthcare would  be handled if she were to get pregnant while we are working over there. We plan to live in there for approximately 2 years. Is there special insurance that is needed for Expats? Are there specific hospitals that we must use? etc.. As much information as possible would be appreciated. thanks!

Armand

Hi,

Here is the link with hospital in Luxembourg : chl.lu/maternite/front

Use google translation for english.

If you will be employed in Luxembourg, you will have automatically an insurance. You can add a complementary insurance if you want (useful for a full reimboursement, for the teeth for exemple), I use dkv as complementary (dkv.lu/en/index.html).

I hope this can help you.

Regards.
