Advice needed for Job Hunting in Australia

Hi,
I am planning to visit sydney to explore job oppportunity there.
I have necessary visa to work anywhere in Australia.
I am telecom engineer with 5 yrs of exp.
As i am coming there for 2 weeks i would appreciate if someone could guide as how should i go about job search.

How do people search job there. Apart from seek.com is there any other sites or job agency that can help me to get a job.
I would be highly helpful if some can share phone number or email address of consultants or agencies there.

What about timing?? Is May month good time for job hunting there?

Thanks.

Hi india to tanzania!

Maybe you could try posting an advert in the Sydney jobs section.
It could help!

Hello.

Other online job websites are myseek.com.au or indeed.com.au  When you look at these job websites, most of them post the recruiting companies. There should be a contact person that has posted the job. Look for job postings aligned to your profession. Get in contact with them by sending an email or posting for the specific job that you may be qualified for. In addition, let them know when you will be in town and would like to have a meeting with them to help you search for your job. I'm assuming you have been granted a PR visa if you can work anywhere in Australia.

It's better that you make arrangements to meet with the HR specialists before you arrive.
