Going out in Berlin - I would like to meet new people

Hi everyone, I'm quite new to living in Berlin and would like to meet new people. Can anyone give some recomendations on places to go out? Or if there are events coming up for people new to the City?

it's probably not a good place to meet new people but i love "schwarzes cafe" (kantstr. near U/S Zoo). They have the largest cocktail menu I have ever seen!!! it's in a touristy area, so more expensive as places in lets say wedding, but i go there every time i am in berlin (about twice a year).

the best way to meet people in germany (in my opinion at least) is by joining a sport club. and you usually go out for drinks after practise (at least my team did that almost every friday night)

in what part of berlin are you living?
