MOI Web License

Could anybody tell me any information about  "MOI Web License", do an individual need to ask for approval from MOI if they would like to make a site in Riyadh..

First time heard of the 'MOI Web License'.

I don't think any approval is required to launch any www site.

I have launched many .coms and I know many who have launched .sa as well.

You may check this one http://www.arabianbusiness.com/saudi-ar … 70949.html

and upon searching for information in the net, it has been all over the news ( January 2011 - last year) that a bloggers needs an approval to the Ministry of Information and Culture (MOCI) - i just want to get information about this.. Just to be safe because I don't want that one day my site will be force to shut down and make a fine of 50,000 to 100,000 Sar

Then this is new information and seems applicable to saudi based sites. Otherwise who can force many other international blogging sites (like blogspot or EB etc) to get MOI License :sleep

there is no need for the license unless if you need the domain .com.sa or .net.sa in this case you need a paper form the chamber of commerce and MOI approval .... you can check any hosting company
and they will tell you everything .... if you need help with hosting companies tell me :D

Absolutely right.. Making new websites targeted to Saudi Arabia is great. Competition when it comes to website is easy.
