Hi fellow expats, will the prices of the Condos in Colombo drop? Is it a current bubble?

It depends on what price range you are talking about.

If it is above $150,000 that you are looking at, yes, it is a bubble, due to an acute shortage of units of higher prices.

As there are more buildings built catering for the richer segments of society like expats and foreigners, especially along the almost untouched new Marine Drive in Colombo, prices will drop for higher priced flats.

However, there are plenty of cheaper flats under $150,000 which are good value for money.

This is a fantastic investment, which you can get out of anytime by at least doubling your money, even in a year or two:  [Moderated]

Have a look!

I guess the apartments ranging around USD 200,000 + better investment, cause its easy to sell and rent.
