Does anyone know of any good schools in Brussels where I can take beginners courses in computing, like Microsoft word, and Excel courses. And also any good but cheap language school for learning French.

Nearly all communes in Brussels have subsidised French language courses, just google "francais enseignement promotion sociale XXX" or something similar. Courses tend to start in September and end January too sometimes. You won't find cheaper.
If you say where in Brussels you live, what time of day you can study, where you work, then I could perhaps be a bit more specific.
