Nagyvazsony ??

Hello, Does anyone know how far this village is from budapest ? Think this is how you spell it we say it in england like it starts with KNOTSvazsony ?
Any help, Thaks

There's a place called Tótvázsony near Balaton. It's 138km from Budapest. You can look up distances using Google Maps.

I assumed you were looking at http://www.cserikastely.hu/. Looks OK but probably useless during the winter. May - Aug would be nice.

Yes, there's a place called Nagyvázsony in Hungary. It's north of Lake Balaton, rougly about 140 km from Budapest. Actually, it's also very close to Tótvázsony. :)

Nagyvazsony is on the main road between the cities of Veszprem and Tapolca. A tricky, twisty road with other drivers often passing on curves. Unless you have experience driving in Hungary, recommend taking a bus rather than driving (and the buses are very nice on that route).

Pronounced completely different in Hungarian. For example, "Nagy" (meaning large or big) is pronounced more like "Nadj".

My sister has now told me ths is not the village we want
the village we want is about 2- 2.5 hours on the train
It was the last stop on the train from budapest, when you get off the train theres a little bridge and a graveyard
Suppose we are looking for a needle in a haystack lol
But thanks everyone for your replys/help
