Moving to New Delhi

Hi

I will be moving to take a job in New Delhi and would like to hear from anyone who has completed a move from the UK to New Delhi.

What I am interested in hearing about is the cost of living, accommodation i.e. 3 bedroom property. What is more common place furnished or unfurnished, is it a good idea to ship furniture out or not? General cost of food shopping, eating out, what are the bars like etc.,

Also, my patner will be coming with me and he will need to work, how easy would it be for him to gain employment and can he come in on my Visa or will he need to apply for his own Visa?

Any other help/information/tips would be greatly appreciated.
